主讲人简介:Dr. Lingfeng Mao got a B.Sc. in Geography, a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Technology, a M.Sc. in Quarternary Geology, and a Ph.D. in Ecology. He is a postdoctoral researcher in Michigan State University from 2013 to 2015 collaborating with Dr. Nathan Swenson.  He has broad interests, and his current projects are focusing on macorecology integrating evolution and ecology in large scales, including the effects of climate change on species distribution, ecosystem functions, plant invasion, the mechanisms of plant extinction, spatial patterns of biodiversity and its underlying mechanisms, and functional diversity for animals and plants. Meanwhile, as an instructor, he trained hundreds of researchers to use R and statistical analysis in ecology and evolution. As a sponsor, he complied a most completed species distribution database with functional traits for Chinese plants. He and his coauthors have published many peer-reviewed papers in international journals, such as Global Ecology and Biogeography, Journal of Biogeography, Journal of  Systematics and Evolution, Biogeoscience and so on.
